The owner of the business Isaac Sheppard, grew up on rural land overrun by Lantana infestations. This inspired him to design unique innovative equipment that clears Lantana and woody weeds very efficiently with brushcutters. Since the business comenced we have been involved in many projects on privately owned land and government funded projects over hundreds of acres, that wouldn’t usually be seen as feasible on terrain inaccessible for heavy machinery.

We’re able to efficiently manage infestations on very steep terrain, and carefully clear around native species.

Many property owners have been inspired with our services, enabling customers to reclaim their land back to native flora and fauna.

About Lantana

Lantana is a Weed of National Significance. It is regarded as one of the worst weeds in Australia because of its invasiveness, potential for spread, and economic and environmental impacts. Lantana forms dense, impenetrable thickets that take over native bush land and pastures. It competes for resources with, and reduces the productivity of, pastures and forestry. It adds fuel to fires, and is toxic to live stock.

History of Lantana

Lantana Camara was introduced into Australia 160 years ago, it was used for wind breaks along fence lines in areas forests were cleared for farmland. It was also appreciated for its colourful flowers and dense green foliage. However, with Australia’s warm climate Lantana has thrived and spread prolifically throughout the fertile areas of Australia, and now there is an estimated 4million+ square hectares of Lantana across Australia.
